Interview #1: Sue Lee- “Our City of the Infinite Darkness”

What inspired you to create your piece?

Staying up late during summer break last year, plus some night cricket noises in our neighborhood.

What is your favorite part of your piece?

Probably the exposition, where the details and landscapes of the city are being drawn out one by one.

What did creating your piece mean to you?

I wrote it for fun but realized toward the end that it resembled something I would've wanted to read for myself a few years ago. I also realized a lot could be communicated in a story as short as this one.
