STYLUS:

Following World War II, students in the Southwestern Literary Organization led a rebrand of the literary magazine, STYLUS, which ran until at least 1950 and exhibited a larger variety of works, including poetry. It was labeled as “the official midyear publication of the Southwestern Literary Organization.”

Forward from the 1947 edition of STYLUS:

Stylus, the Southwestern literary honor society, presents in its journal each spring voluntary work done by students which reflects a genuine interest in creative writing. Many worthwhile contributions have been received, and space limitations have required that only those of superior literary merit be selected. However, in selecting, attempt has been made to give some representation to every contributor who has shown aptitude for creative work, rather than to judge manuscripts on an absolute value scale. The contents, therefore, may be taken as a cross-section of present literary talent at Southwestern.
